Carissimo ospite, ti offriamo qualche suggerimento per scoprire alcuni luoghi e bellezze della Romagna, terra di bellezza e dei buoni sapori che puoi raggiungere dal tuo appartamento!
- a 500 metri dalla casa, trovi la risorsa più importante: la spiaggia! In inverno un giretto sulla battigia e sul porto può essere assai piacevole. In estate puoi passarci la giornata scegliendo la zona libera o chiedere al bagnino lettino e ombrellone. Guardando il mare, trovi sulla sinistra il porto canale che divide Igea da Bellaria. Guardando a destra c’è Rimini, col suo grattacielo, mentre a sinistra Cesenatico e Cervia.
In realtà Bellaria e Igea sono due piccoli paesi, uniti in unico Comune negli anni ’50. A Bellaria, raggiungibile a piedi in 20 minuti attraverso un ponte pedonale bianco, c’è un’ampia zona pedonale (Isola dei Platani, in via Paolo Guidi) con diversi negozi, gelaterie, ristoranti tradizionali (quali l’Osteria del 27 e diversi altri), ecc. Si può anche arrivarci in macchina (meno di 3 minuti) parcheggiando a ridosso dell’Isola (https://goo.gl/maps/GNDnY6tW6CT2 ).
Invece, se dalla nostra casa cammini verso il mare, poco prima sulla destra c’è via Ovidio, un’altra via che in estate è pedonalizza e che presenta diversi negozi, ristoranti e servizi. Porta alla Chiesa e poi al centro di Igea Marina.
- Prendendo la macchina e viaggiando per 8 minuti si arriva a Cesenatico, dove può essere piacevole una passeggiata sul Porto canale progettato da Leonardo da Vinci. Si può parcheggiare nella zona di inizio a monte (https://goo.gl/maps/yRo5krN6BEx) e camminare per il canale dove ci sono barche storiche e tantissimi ristoranti e negozi.
- Molto bella da visitare è Santarcangelo, nell’entroterra. Un paesino che si inerpica su una piccola collina, con suggestive viuzze medievali. Vi si arriva in 15 minuti di macchina (https://goo.gl/maps/NXzM24VACrB2). Salendo tra le vie si può raggiungere una bella vista sulla riviera e sulle colline attorno. Le colline della romagna e del Montefeltro sono molto suggestive. Qui vi sono tante osterie e famosi ristoranti. Il più famoso – locale decisamente bello, ricavato dentro antiche grotte – è La Sangiovesa (http://www.sangiovesa.it). Puoi chiedere al ristoratore di visitare le grotte.
- Rimanendo nell’entroterra è davvero molto bella da visitare San Leo. Richiede circa 45 minuti di auto (https://goo.gl/maps/fxrHNwjWAsA2). Si tratta di un bellissimo paesino medievale, con una vista mozzafiato sul Montefeltro, e soprattutto con un duomo romanico di rara bellezza, risalente al sec. XI, una Pieve romanica del sec. VIII e poco distante un castello di età successiva.
Prima di arrivare a San Leo vi è un piccolo, ma assai bello, complesso monastico, dove si narra abbia risieduto S. Francesco d’Assisi in uno dei suoi viaggi nella nostra terra. È S.Igne (3 km da S. Leo sulla via del ritorno). (https://goo.gl/maps/1BFyGohqg922). - Oltre a S. Leo vi è lo Stato indipendente di San Marino. Più turistico di San Leo, ma comunque molto suggestivo anche per la bellezza dei panorami, merita una visita il Borgo alto. Il Monte raggiunge i 900 metri di altezza. - Se siete amanti dell’arte (e bambini permettendo!) bellissima da visitare è la città d’arte Ravenna, città che fu anche per qualche anno capitale dell’Impero romano. Sono tantissimi i monumenti qui presenti risalenti all’età bizantina (VI sec d.C.) Ravenna è a 30 minuti da Igea. Ecco un elenco delle cose che qui si trovano:

A Ravenna vi sono anche bei posticini dove cenare. Un bel ristorante con cibo tradizionale in un contesto moderno è l’ Osteria Passatelli. (https://goo.gl/maps/JfyHqNazG9k). Più tradizionale ancora vi è l’ Osteria dei Battibecchi (https://goo.gl/maps/YcW3TZebnd62) . Entrambi vicini al centro.
Assai vicino a noi abbiamo Rimini (vecchia città romana dal nome Ariminum) https://goo.gl/maps/zhvsuUAB1R42 Il punto della mappa che vi ho appena indicato, vi permette di parcheggiare vicino al ponte romano (Ponte di Tiberio), attorno al quale vi è il cosiddetto Borgo San Giuliano, dove tra belle viuzze si trovano numerosi ristoranti a buoni prezzi (ottimo il pesce della “Marianna”, proprio vicino al ponte). Camminando verso il centro incontrate un corso e belle piazze, fino a giungere al Tempio Malatestiano (progettato dall’Alberti) e l’Arco di Augusto. Interessante da visitare anche il Castello malatestiano, vicino a Piazza Cavour. Rimini ha anche un grande porto canale che si incunea sul mare, visitabile sia dal lato destro (dove il braccio è assai proteso verso il mare) che dal lato sinistro, dove si trova anche una darsena. Per giungere al porto occorre però spostarsi ulteriormente con la macchina https://goo.gl/maps/DVEpuTxfXGG2.
Abbiamo vicinissimo a Igea (10 minuti di macchina) anche un parco tematico dal nome Italia in miniatura. Il parco riproduce l’intera Italia con le sue città d’arte. Tuttavia per la spesa quotidiana, lungo via Ovidio (a 10 minuti a piedi dalla casa) o nell’Isola dei Platani di Bellaria, trovate di tutto.

Dear guest, we offer you some suggestions to discover some places and beauties of Romagna, a land of beauty and good flavors that you can reach from your apartment!
500 meters from the house, you find the most important resource: the beach! In winter a stroll on the shoreline and on the harbor can be very pleasant. In summer you can spend the day choosing the free area or ask the lifeguard bed and umbrella. Looking at the sea, you find on the left the canal harbor that divides Igea from Bellaria. Looking to the right is Rimini, with its skyscraper, while on the left, Cesenatico and Cervia.
Actually Bellaria and Igea are two small countries, united in a single Municipality in the 1950s. In Bellaria, reachable on foot in 20 minutes through a white pedestrian bridge, there is a large pedestrian area (Isola dei Platani, in Via Paolo Guidi) with several shops, ice cream parlors, an American Graffity (American and Tex-Mex food, Hamburgers), traditional restaurants (such as Osteria del 27 and several others), etc. You can also get there by car (less than 3 minutes) parking close to the island (https://goo.gl/maps/GNDnY6tW6CT2).
Instead, if you walk towards the sea from our house, just before on the right there is Via Ovidio, another street that in the summer is pedestrianized and that has several shops, restaurants and services. Door to the Church and then to the center of Igea Marina.
Taking the car and traveling for 8 minutes you arrive in Cesenatico, where a walk on the Porto canal designed by Leonardo da Vinci can be pleasant. You can park in the upstream start area (https://goo.gl/maps/yRo5krN6BEx) and walk around the canal where there are historic boats and lots of restaurants and shops.
Very nice to visit is Santarcangelo, in the hinterland. A small village that climbs up a small hill, with suggestive medieval lanes. It can be reached in 15 minutes by car (https://goo.gl/maps/NXzM24VACrB2). Going up between the streets you can reach a beautiful view of the coast and the surrounding hills. The hills of Romagna and Montefeltro are very suggestive. Here there are many taverns and famous restaurants. The most famous – a very beautiful place, housed in ancient caves – is La Sangiovesa (http://www.sangiovesa.it). You can ask the restaurateur to visit the caves.
Staying in the hinterland is really very nice to visit San Leo. It takes about 45 minutes by car (https://goo.gl/maps/fxrHNwjWAsA2). It is a beautiful medieval village, with a breathtaking view of the Montefeltro, and above all with a Romanesque cathedral of rare beauty, dating back to the century. XI, a Romanesque church of the century VIII and a nearby castle of a later age.
Before arriving in San Leo there is a small, but very beautiful, monastic complex, where it is said that St. Francis of Assisi lived on one of his journeys in our land. It is S.Igne (3 km from S. Leo on the way back). (Https://goo.gl/maps/1BFyGohqg922).
In addition to S. Leo there is the independent State of San Marino. More touristic than San Leo, but still very impressive due to the beauty of the views, the upper town is worth a visit. The Mount reaches 900 meters in height. From our house is about 45 minutes https://goo.gl/maps/ijS8FiGAGpr.
If you are a lover of art (and children permitting!) Beautiful to visit is the city of art Ravenna, a city that was also the capital of the Roman Empire for a few years. There are many monuments here dating back to the Byzantine age (6th century AD). Ravenna is 30 minutes from Igea. Here is a list of the things found here:

Very close to us we have Rimini (old Roman city called Ariminum) https://goo.gl/maps/zhvsuUAB1R42 The point of the map that I have just indicated, allows you to park near the Roman bridge (Ponte di Tiberio), around to which there is the so-called Borgo San Giuliano, where among beautiful lanes there are numerous restaurants at good prices (excellent the fish of the “Marianna”, right next to the bridge). Walking towards the center you meet a course and beautiful squares, until you reach the Malatesta Temple (designed by Alberti) and the Arch of Augustus. The Malatesta Castle, near Piazza Cavour, is also worth a visit. Rimini also has a large canal port wedged over the sea, which can be visited from the right side (where the arm is very far towards the sea) and from the left side, where there is also a dock. We have very close to Igea (10 minutes by car) also a theme park with the name Italia in miniatura. The park reproduces the whole of Italy with its cities of art.
